Every Xay One album begins with an idea, a location, or simply something strange enough to be worth trying. Once the enclosure is complete, familiar situations start to change. Identity disappears behind the surface, expressions become irrelevant, and movement, posture and surroundings have to tell the story. These albums document complete sessions rather than collections of isolated photographs. Some are carefully planned, others develop while shooting.
